The Audi S7 Sportback sedan builds on the brand's elegant and practical A7 Sportback to a higher level of performance. Both cars are more avant-garde in design than the S6 and A6 sedans, which are one digit lower each. The core of the S7's performance strength is the 444-horsepower twin-turbocharged V-6 engine, which is much more powerful than the A7's 335-horsepower six-cylinder engine. Using Audi's iconic Quattro all-wheel drive system, this stylish four-door car accelerates from standstill to 60 mph in just 4.1 seconds and has excellent sprint capabilities. Thanks to its sportier suspension than the ordinary A7, the S7 can also remain calm in corners. However, it is not as aggressive as rivals like the Mercedes-AMG GT53 or the BMW 8-Series Gran Coupe. Buyers looking for more extreme performance can check out the 591-horsepower RS7 (which has been reviewed separately), but be prepared to write a six-figure check.
