BMW's upcoming iM3 sports sedan is BMW's biggest effort so far to attract buyers of electric vehicles. As the brand's first mass-produced electric M model from concept to showroom, its design will continue the style of the Vision Neue Klasse concept car and make a fuss about M's exclusive wheel arch shape and aerodynamic kit, thus distinguishing it from the upcoming release. The i3 sedan forms a distinction. BMW said the iM3 will coexist with the fuel-fueled version of the M3, which will enter the showroom before the electric iM3. Although details are still gradually being revealed, BMW has previously mentioned that the production version of the Neue Klasse electric vehicle will adopt an 800-volt architecture, with a 20% increase in battery energy density compared with previous models, and is equipped with new software and a 30% increase in cruising range. In any case, the BMW M model has accumulated a large number of loyal fans due to its excellent performance, and now, when the source of power changes from gasoline to electricity, BMW obviously will not risk tarnishing this inheritance.
