BMW is known for its superior driving feel, and the 2026 X5 SUV drives satisfactorily, although not as sharp as its younger brothers. The standard turbocharged in-line six-cylinder engine has smooth and abundant output; the twin-turbocharged V8 brings more powerful performance and the thick roar that six-cylinder engines lack. There is also a plug-in hybrid version available, but we will evaluate it separately. In terms of interiors, the X5 's luxurious cockpit is quite spacious for four adults, but it can barely seat five people. It doesn't offer a third-row seat option-you'll have to pay for the larger X7 if you want seven seats-but there is plenty of trunk space and the interior is equipped with rich modern connected technology.
