Regal GS

Buick has built muscle cars and other performance models, but today, the Regal GS is the most sporty presence in its showroom. A powerful 310-horsepower V6 engine delivers power to the four wheels, but we hope the GS accelerates more quickly. Still, it is more sporty and fun to drive than the regular Buick Regal Sportback we reviewed separately. This beautiful four-door car looks like a sedan, but is actually equipped with a hatchback tailgate, making it more practical than most of its competitors. Similarly, the GS sells for less than a similarly equipped entry-level luxury car. Coupled with numerous standard configurations and a wealth of optional driver assistance systems, the 2020 Buick GS adds a sense of fashion to traditional travel, but don't expect it to fully replicate the experience of the old GS.
