Cadillac has long since bid farewell to the "land yacht"-style sedan style of the past. The 2026 CT5 series is the best proof of this-it abandons the previous tonality of bloated interiors and erratic suspensions, and instead takes a more sporty route. The turbocharged four-cylinder engine equipped with the basic version is not interesting, so it is recommended to skip it directly and choose the optional twin-turbocharged V6. Even better, you can get on the 360-horsepower CT5-V directly, which really delivers a serious sports car experience. Beyond that is the 668-horsepower CT5-V Blackwing, which we rated as the best ultra-high-performance sports sedan-but we reviewed that beast separately. The regular version of the CT5 is relatively low-key and more affordable. Opponents are targeting rational versions of the BMW 3 Series, Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Zenith G70. In front of its opponents, the CT5's price/performance ratio is good, but the interior's luxurious feel is less impressive. It feels more like Chevrolet's standard than Cadillac should look like.
