Halcyon

The Chrysler brand has long been associated with "quasi-luxury cars," but as its iconic full size four-door 300 series exits the market, the company is thinking about what the future of electric cars will look like. The Halcyon concept car demonstrated this vision for the first time. Its stunning low-lying shape seems to be a bit of a Porsche Taycan, but the Halcyon also has a unique design: a rear hinged split door and a roof panel that folds up to make getting on and off the car more convenient. The car adopts a four-seat layout, all equipped with independent seats. Since Halcyon envisions an autonomous driving scenario, the steering wheel can be retracted and hidden, and the glass roof and windshield can turn into a huge augmented reality display for passengers to entertain. There is a transparent infotainment screen at the bottom of the windshield, equipped with an AI voice assistant with advanced functions, and can be widely interconnected with other smart devices in life. If all this seems too advanced and difficult to achieve, that is exactly what a concept car is about: exploring new ideas and fresh design directions. Even if only some of the features on Halcyon end up in mass production, it would be a major victory for Chrysler.
