Hornet

The fact that Dodge Hornet and Alfa Romeo Tonale are almost made from the same mold cannot be avoided. But that's not all a bad thing-Dodge's compact crossover gives you the same basic configuration as the Alpha: dexterous controls, four-wheel drive, and a nice, neat look at a price that's much cheaper than the Alpha. Tonale's only power system is a plug-in hybrid, which is also used on the Hornet R/T (we will review it separately), but the Hornet GT is powered by a simpler 268-horsepower four-cylinder turbocharged engine that delivers speed up. It also performs almost equally well. But like Tonale, Hornet's small size also means that the rear space and trunk volume are more cramped than its rivals. And without the support of the hybrid system, the fuel consumption performance of the pure fuel version of Hornet can only be considered average. Driving a Hornet can be fun-and we value it-but it's not an all-around player like the Honda CR-V or the Mazda CX-50.
