Taycan

The Taycan proves that Porsche can build an electric sedan that delivers the behind-the-wheel magic that the marque is known for. Despite its four-door form and two-and-a-half-ton mass, the Taycan is a certified stunner on twisty tarmac and a missile between stoplights. Even the base rear-wheel drive model has enough gusto to thrill, while the top, 1019-hp, all-wheel-drive Turbo GT achieves unfathomable acceleration: it’s the first vehicle of any kind to reach 60 mph in under two seconds in our instrumented testing. The Taycan doesn’t fall short on luxury, either, with an elegant interior that can be fitted with a wide array of personalization options to suit your taste. One of its only drawbacks is limited cargo space, which Porsche has addressed by offering a station wagon variant called the Taycan Cross Turismo that we review separately.
