Not willing to see brands like Jeep and GMC make a fortune in the hot off-road market, Volkswagen decided to resurrect the classic Scout car series and launch a new series of electric trucks and SUVs. Scout plans to launch a truck called Terra and an SUV called Traveler as model year 2028. Both vehicles will be built on a new electric platform and produced in the United States.
