With electric vehicles becoming more mainstream each year, and few capacious EV options for families, the 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz addresses a largely untapped market. The design of the ID.Buzz commemorates the German company's iconic Type 2 Microbus—or VW Bus for short—which inspired the new van's retro design. Along with its uniquely nostalgic exterior aesthetic, its spacious cabin features flexible seating and three rows. The ID.Buzz's all-electric powertrain comes in rear- and all-wheel-drive configurations, delivering a driving range of up to 234 miles. Plugged into a DC fast-charger, VW says the van will be able to charge its battery from 10 to 80 percent in 30 minutes. The ID.Buzz can be considered a competitor to conventional minivans such as the Honda Odyssey and the Toyota Sienna, but its distinctive styling, spacious interior, and electric powertrain make it both a standout in its segment and a member of our 10Best Trucks list for 2025.
