Chevrolet positions the 2026 E-Ray as an all-season Corvette, but its all-wheel drive grip and electrified powertrain also hides another more impressive skill: beast-like acceleration. A 6.2-liter V-8 engine roared behind the cockpit, while a motor drove the front axle, giving the E-Ray's combined power to 655 horsepower. Although it is 15 horsepower (670 horsepower) less than the more expensive Corvette Z06, in our tests, E-Ray's acceleration performance surpassed the big brother, taking just 2.5 seconds to 0-60 mph. The handling is as sharp as other members of the Corvette family, and as a hybrid model, it has little compromise in practicality. The cabin is spacious enough to accommodate two adults, and the luggage space can also meet the needs of weekend travel. Daily use is as easy as the Corvette Stingray, except don't expect E-Ray to save you much on gas-it's not a fuel-efficient hybrid car. Despite this, Corvette E-Ray still finds the perfect balance between performance and day-to-day practicality, which is why it was included in our 2026 Top Ten list.
