Corvette Z06

If you send America's "National Sweetheart" sports car to study abroad for a semester or two, you will probably come back like a Corvette Z06. Of course, it has the pride of the stars and stripes in its bones, but it cannot hide the European flavor on its body. A flat-crankshaft V8 engine that can be pulled to 8500 rpm and output 670 horsepower is placed in the middle of the body-this is obviously a competition with Ferrari's textbooks; and the finely tuned chassis seems to be copied directly from Porsche's lesson plans. Thanks to this "overseas education", the Z06 can not only complete the Nurburgring track at an astonishing speed, but also run a quarter-mile acceleration time of 10.5 seconds. What's even more surprising is that it is much more practical than imagined-with two trunks and comfortable interiors, there is no pressure to open daily. And its price is less than half that of the most hard-core European rivals-this price/performance ratio is also among the top in the world.
