Silverado EV

The 2026 Chevrolet Silverado EV is in its third year. It is a full-featured size pickup truck that just happens to be pure electric. It has a maximum traction capacity of 12500 pounds and a payload of 1800 pounds. Compared to the fuel-fueled version of Silverado, it has 800 pounds less traction and 400 pounds less load. Although the huge battery pack dragged down these numbers, as compensation, the Silverado EV WT model with the largest battery achieved an EPA estimated 493 miles of life. In addition, the Silverado EV accelerates quickly, taking just 4.1 seconds to 0-60 mph--1.3 seconds faster than the last Silverado we tested with a 6.2-liter V-8 engine. The modern and technologically sensitive cockpit can accommodate five people, and the front reserve box has a volume of 11 cubic feet. The 5-foot-11-inch cargo compartment also features a clever through-design (Chevrolet calls it the "Multi-Flex Midgate") that extends the cargo compartment length to more than 9 feet. In short, regardless of the powertrain, the Silverado EV is a competent truck.
