Polestar has reached the fifth entry in its numerically labeled lineup, and the ambitious new 5 flagship arrives on the scene as a high-horsepower EV grand tourer. The low-slung sedan has the performance to back up its racy appearance, with a base Dual Motor trim brandishing 748 horsepower and a Performance model that ups output to 884 horsepower. Range should be impressive too, with Polestar estimating 416 miles of electric driving for the Dual Motor and 351 miles for the Performance. Those are WLTP test estimates, though, and we expect its U.S. EPA range to be closer to 354 miles for the Dual Motor and 300 miles for the Performance.
