Car and Driver's ranking is based on two major bases: first, the large-scale instrument test data we conduct on hundreds of vehicle models every year, and the second, the subjective feelings accumulated by our expert editors in actual road driving. We selected the best four-door sports sedan based on about 200 dimensions such as acceleration, handling, comfort, trunk space, fuel economy, cost performance and driving pleasure. We take rankings very seriously because we want you to have a comprehensive understanding of every car you are interested in. The models on the list cover prices from low to high, different size and market segments, but what they have in common is that they are all four-door sedans or hatchbacks and put performance and driving pleasure first.
