The ranking of Car and Driver is based on extensive instrument test data we conduct on hundreds of vehicle models every year, and combines the subjective feelings of professional editors in driving on real road conditions. We conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the best luxury cars based on about 200 indicators such as acceleration performance, handling performance, riding comfort, storage space, fuel economy, cost performance and driving pleasure. We always maintain a strict attitude towards ranking-just to let you thoroughly understand all aspects of your favorite car.

This list includes the highest-rated luxury cars and SUVs assembled at our domestic auto factories in the United States. We rank based on scores and only include models with a rating of 9 or above. It should be noted that vehicles sold in the U.S. market but produced in multiple locations, including outside the United States, are not included.
